What is a Fractional COO?

A fractional Chief Operating Officer embeds operational leadership (part-time) to stabilise processes, guide teams, and improve performance. It is ideal for organisations experiencing rapid growth, change, or complexity but not yet ready for a full-time appointment.

Who it serves

• Leadership teams needing tighter governance and execution across functions.
• Organisations with rapid growth, new products, or restructuring underway.
• Teams that require clearer accountability, performance metrics, and reporting.

What a fractional COO delivers

• Operating cadence: Establish rhythms, KPIs, and dashboards that keep delivery predictable.
• Process optimisation: Remove bottlenecks across sales, service, finance, and technology.
• People and vendors: Clarify ownership, roles, and handoffs for internal teams and key suppliers.
• Risk and compliance: Ensure controls, approvals, and documentation keep pace with change.

Benefits for your organisation

• Greater reliability and visibility across day-to-day operations.
• Faster time-to-value for new initiatives thanks to structured change management.
• Improved morale and accountability with clear responsibilities and decision rights.
• Repeatable playbooks that sustain performance after the engagement.

Why this matters

Operational discipline underpins customer experience and margin. A fractional COO provides pragmatic leadership to steady the business, support growth, and align teams without adding permanent headcount too early.
